In an effort to support education for girls in Edo State, the Ministry of Education in line with it’s “Protect the Girl Child Initiative” collaborated with the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) to support and equip girls in Edo state to enhance their learning. This partnership aims to distribute school bags and essential learning accessories to students across the state.
Mrs. Mercy Babawale, State Director of NDDC, praised the Honourable Commissioner of Education Dr Emmanuel Paddy Iyamu and the ministry for their commitment and all they have been doing since they came onboard to uplift educational standards,infrastructural Development and the overall learning experience in Edo state l. She assured them that under the leadership of Chief Samuel Ogbuku, the NDDC is dedicated to making a significant impact in the lives of young learners and the Niger Delta Development.
In his remarks, Dr. Paddy Iyamu, the Honorable Commissioner of Education, expressed gratitude to the NDDC’s Managing Director and the state executive council for their support in this laudable initiative. He emphasized the importance of equipping Edo children with the necessary tools to help them become effective leaders of tomorrow.
This initiative not only aims to empower girls but also strengthens the educational framework within the state, paving the way for a brighter future for all students in Edo to thrive.
